Conquering Diseases

From the ED to the Cath Lab and Beyond: Can We Do it Better?

Seeking patients who experience a type of heart attack called NSTEMI, who are cared for in the Emergency Department and have a procedure called cardiac catheterization.

This study is gathering data about patients who have a mild heart attack (NSTEMI) and the type and timing of the treatment they receive. The study participation ends at discharge unless a participant is prescribed a home medicine called ticagrelor. Those participants will do a short phone interview at 30 days.

What we're hoping for

To improve patient care by learning more about how these patients are currently treated and finding out what treatment methods work best.
