Collection Of Skin And Blood To Study Autoimmune And Inflammatory Skin Diseases

Description

We are collecting skin and blood samples from people with autoimmune or inflammatory skin diseases, like vitiligo psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or scleroderma and from healthy volunteers to study how these skin diseases start in immune cells and why they affect the skin

Overview

We are collecting blood, skin and fluid from blisters from volunteers to study autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases. Skin samples would be up to the size of a dime. Blister fluid samples would be from painless blisters created on your skin. The samples and your medical information will be used to study how autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases start in immune cells and why they affect the skin. Volunteers may decide to join a registry to donate samples in the future

What we're hoping for

We hope to better understand how how autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases start in immune cells and why they affect the skin
