Conquering Diseases

Hepatitis C Therapeutic Registry And Research Network, A Longitudinal, Observational Study (Hcv-Target)

Description

This is an observational study collecting information about patients diagnosed with chronic Hepatitis C viral (HCV) infection who are being treated with approved anti-HCV therapies. The purpose of this research study is to collect information about patients who are being treated for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV).

Overview

This study will help researchers learn about how different HCV treatments affect different patients, why some patients might develop drug resistance to treatment, how to best manage side effects and how to best educate patients about HCV treatments. The researchers will collect this information from your medical records during and after the time you receive HCV treatment. You may volunteer to provide a blood sample for future research about HCV, but it is not required to participate.

What we're hoping for

We hope this study will increase our knowledge about chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) and provide important information about treatments.
