Long-Term Antipsychotic Pediatric Safety Trial (Laps)

Description

Seeking children and teens aged 3 to 17 who have been or will be prescribed risperidone or aripiprazole for a study of whether these drugs are safe for long term use in youths

Overview

We are studying how the drugs risperidone and aripipazole affects the health of kids and teens, like changes in weight and blood pressure and how they feel, over about two years. The information may be used to update by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to improve how these drugs are prescribed to children.

What we're hoping for

We are hoping to evaluate the safety of Risperidone and Aripiprazole when prescribed to children over long periods of time.
