Study Of Social Communication In Autism Spectrum Disorder

Description

We are looking for adolescents aged 13 – 17, who either have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or do not have ASD to participate in a research study of how the body responds when talking and interacting with other people.

Overview

To better understand how the body reacts during social interactions, we will have teens and their caregivers answer questions and then take a blood sample from the teen. We will compare the results between teens who have been diagnosed with ASD to those of the teens who have not been diagnosed with ASD.

What we're hoping for

We hope to better understand how the body reacts to social situations so that a treatment might be developed that helps make social interactions easier for people with ASD.
