Study Of An Experimental Treatment Using Stem Cells Collected From Your Blood For People With Critical Limb Ischemia

Description

Seeking adult men and women with Critical Limb Ischemia for a study of the safety and effectiveness of an experimental treatment using stem cells collected from your own blood and injected into your muscles in your legs and foot to relieve symptoms.

Overview

We are studying whether an experimental treatment using stem cells collected from your own blood will help you grow new blood vessels in your leg and foot and relieve the symptoms of critical limb ischemia. Most participants will receive the experimental treatment, but some will receive injections of sterile saline (also known as placebo). Neither participants nor the study staff will know who is getting the experimental treatment or the placebo.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the stem cells collected from your body will help grow new blood vessels in your leg and foot muscles and reduce the severity of symptoms from Critical Limb Ischemia
