Study Of An Investigational Drug To Control Itch In People With Primary Biliary Cholangitis

Description

Seeking men and women whose primary biliary cholangitis is causing them moderate to severe itchiness for a study of an investigational drug.

Overview

We are comparing whether people who get the investigational drug have less itchiness than people who take a placebo which is a pill that has no active medication in it.This study is ‘randomized’, which means that you will have a 50% chance of receiving either the investigational drug or a placebo. Neither you nor the research team will know whether you are receiving the investigational drug or not but your study doctor can find out in case of an emergency.

What we're hoping for

Evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug tablet taken by mouth to reduce the intensity of your moderate to severe itching caused by primary biliary cholangitis.
