Investigational Drug Study For Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma

Description

Seeking male & female patients who have been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma (cancer that forms in the soft tissues, such as muscle).

Overview

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects, good and/or bad, of a new combination of chemotherapy using VAC/VI plus temsirolimus & to find if adding the drug temsirolimus to VAC/VI therapy will get rid of the cancer better than VAC/VI by itself.

What we're hoping for

We are hoping to get rid of the rhabdomyosarcoma cancer for a long time or for the rest of the patient's life. Information learned from this study will benefit other patients with cancer of the soft tissues or muscles in the future.
