Study Of An Investigational Drug For Adults With Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Description

Adults currently suffering from symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder are invited to participate in a research study to determine the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Overview

Participants in this trial will stop using their current medication for a period of 3-14 days and then be randomly assigned to take the investigational drug and the standard drug, the standard drug and a pill that looks like the investigational drug but contains no medication (placebo), or two placebo pills that look like the standard and investigational drugs for 12 weeks. Participants will have 11 study visits during the 17 week period that they are in the trial.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the investigational drug used in combination with standard drug for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will be safe and effective in relieving the symptoms of PTSD.
