Description

Seeking children aged 12 to 16 years old with intellectual disabilities for a weekly after school experimental program teaching physical activity and healthy eating.

Overview

Participants will learn four different sports activities, like soccer and dance, and how to choose and prepare healthy foods. The after-school program will meet weekly for 90 minutes over 16 weeks.

What we're hoping for

Evaluate whether an experimental weekly after-school program teaching physical activity and healthy eating to children aged 12 to 16 years old with intellectual disabilities increases physical activity and health food choices.
