Study Of Stress Reduction In Multiple Sclerosis

Description

Seeking men and women with Multiple Sclerosis for a study of the role of stress in multiple sclerosis and whether an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program effects your sense of well-being, stress level, and how it may change your brain.

Overview

Participants will take an 8 week in-person course that uses mindfulness and meditation to reduce stress. Participants will provide health information through questionnaires, hair samples (about 50 strands or the size of a pencil eraser), and heart rate monitors. Some participants will also undergo an MRI.

What we're hoping for

We hope to see if a mindfulness meditation class will improve participant's health.
