Study Of An Experimental Program To Reduce Re-Admission Of Cardiac Patients To The Hospital

Description

Seeking men and women with heart failure or who have had a heart attack to be interviewed for a study to develop a program that uses peoples experience of chest pain to plan for discharging cardiac patients from the hospital.

Overview

We are interviewing people who have heart failure or have had a heart attack about their experience of chest pain. Participants will be interviewed by the study team and may be asked to give their feedback on the newly developed pain assessment tool.

What we're hoping for

We hope to develop a program to reduce the number of people readmitted to the emergency department or hospital for heart failure or heart attack by using people's experience of chest pain to aid decisions on hospital discharge.
