Study Of An Investigational Drug For Ventilated Covid-19 Patients

Description

Seeking hospitalized men and women who are receiving mechanical ventilation due to COVID-19 for a study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational drug.

Overview

We are studying whether the investigational drug is better than only receiving the usual treatment for patients who have been intubated and are receiving mechanical ventilation due to COVID-19. In addition to aggressive supportive care, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either a low dose of the investigational drug, a high dose, or a placebo, which would look like the investigational drug but contain no active medication.

What we're hoping for

Evaluate whether an investigational drug is safe and effective for use in treating adults who have been intubated and are receiving mechanical ventilation due to COVID-19.
