Convalescent Plasma To Limit Coronavirus Associated Complications For People Being Treated Outside The Hospital

Description

Seeking men and women who are being treated outside of the hospital for their COVID-19 infection for a study of an investigational blood product made from blood plasma donated by people who have recovered from COVID-19, known as convalescent plasma.

Overview

Participants in this trial will either receive plasma with high levels of COVID-19 antibodies or plasma that does not have any COVID-19 antibodies. Every participant will also receive aggressive supportive clinical care, such as supplemental oxygen or hospitalization if the illness becomes severe.

What we're hoping for

Evaluate whether an investigational blood product made from the plasma of people who have recovered from COVID-19 will help reduce complications of COVID-19 patients who are being treated outside the hospital.
