Study Of Anti-Viral And Anti-Inflammatory Effect Of An Investigational Drug For Covid-19

Description

Seeking men and women who are in the hospital and diagnosed with COVID-19 for a study of an investigational drug to see if it acts as an anti-viral and anti-inflammatory treatment for COVID-19 infection.

Overview

We are studying whether a drug that has been approved for use in treating a type of blood cancer called multiple myeloma is safe and effective for patients with COVID-19. In addition to aggressive supportive care, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational drug or a placebo, which looks like the investigational drug but contains no medicine.

What we're hoping for

Evaluate whether adding the investigational drug to the usual treatment improves recovery from COVID-19 by preventing inflammation and reducing viral activity.
