Genetic Testing of Lung Cancer Tumors

Description

This is a screening study. It is seeking men & women 18 years or older with lung cancer who have had their tumor removed or will be removed by surgery.

Overview

The purpose of this research study is to examine lung cancer patients’ surgically removed tumors for certain genetic changes, and to possibly refer these patients to a treatment study with drugs that may specifically target tumors that have these genetic changes.

What we're hoping for

Researchers hope to learn things that may help other people in the future.The results of the patients genetic testing may allow them to enroll in a related treatment study.
