Covid-19 Investigational Treatment Trial To Prevent Inflammation In Hospitalized Adults (Actt-4)

Description

Seeking men and women who have been hospitalized with COVID-19 for a study that compares the safety and activity of experimental regimens consisting of oral anti-inflammatory agents plus Remdesivir.

Overview

We are studying whether oral anti-inflammatory drugs (baricitinib OR dexamethasone) administered with remdesivir are safe and effective when administered to people hospitalized with COVID-19. Half of the people in this trial will get a combination of baricitinib and remdesivir and half will get a combination of dexamethasone and remdesivir.

What we're hoping for

This study will evaluate and compare the safety of two combination regimens (oral anti-inflammatory drugs, baricitinib OR dexamethasone, and remdesivir), as well whether they are helpful in speeding recovery of people hospitalized with COVID-19.
