Long-term Study of SHP647 Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease

Description

Seeking participants of earlier studies investigating the drug SHP647 designed for treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. This follow on study tests the long term use of two doses of the drug by monthly injection.

Overview

You will receive monthly injections of the study drug and continue as long as you are tolerating and responding well to SHP647 until it becomes commercially available. All participants will receive study drug but they will not be told if it is the lower (25mg) or higher (75mg) dose. If during the study one of the doses proves to be better than the other, all subjects may be switched to the better dose. Any side effects and benefits will be monitored in the same way as in the earlier studies.

What we're hoping for

To learn if the study drug SHP647, is safe and helpful in the long-term treatment of moderate to severe Ulcerative Colitis and/or Crohn’s Disease.
