Conquering Diseases

Study Of An Automated Method Of Pain Assessment Using Wearable Sensors.

Description

Seeking men and women aged 18 and older for a study of sensors worn on or applied to the skin to measure pain.

Overview

Participants in this study will wear several sensors (wristband, headband, sticker on chest, and a sticker on the thigh) and have brief electrical stimulation applied to their leg to produce a muscle contraction. Participants will be asked to rate their pain multiple times.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether a sensor worn on or applied to the skin can provide an accurate measurement of pain.
