Endovascular Coil Embolization To Treat Aneurysms

Description

Seeking men and women with a bifurcation aneurysm in their brain for treatment using an investigational medical device.

Overview

This is a study of how safe and effective an investigational medical device called a endovascular coil is at treating aneurysms in the brain that occur where blood vessels branch in two directions (called bifurcations). The coil will be placed using a thin tube inserted in the leg and moved up to the brain.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the investigational medical device will prevent blood from entering the aneurysms and reduce the risk of bleeding and avoid the need for opening the skull for surgery.
