Study Comparing Anticoagulants To Prevent Stroke In People Who Have A History Of Brain Hemorrhage

Description

Seeking men and women with atrial fibrillation and a recent brain hemorrhage causing increased risk for stroke for a study of blood thinners to reduce risk of stroke.

Overview

Participants in this study will receive either apixaban (also known as Eliquis®) or aspirin. There will be 15-30 minute office visits every 3 months for up to 3 years.

What we're hoping for

We are comparing the effects of apixaban (also known as Eliquis®) with aspirin in people with atrial fibrillation and a recent brain hemorrhage to see which is better in preventing strokes and death.
