Study Of An Investigational Drug For Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Description

Seeking people aged 18 to 70 with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that is being treated with nonbiologic therapies (such as an oral corticosteroid, antimalarial, and/or immunosuppressant) for a study of an investigational monoclonal antibody drug injection.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to get either the investigational drug injection or a placebo (looks like the investigational drug but contains no medicine). Participants will be trained on how to give themselves the injections and have the option to self-administer the injections at home after several study visits. There will be about 13 study visits

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether and investigational monoclonal antibody drug injection is safe and effective for reducing B cell activity and improving symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
