Study Of The Connection Between The Microbiome/Gut And Brain And Alzheimer's Disease In Older People

Description

Seeking healthy volunteers aged 50 and older who have not been hospitalized in the past 60 days for a study of the microbiome-gut-brain connections in people living both in and out of nursing homes.

Overview

Participants in this study will have a study visit every 3 months to collect a mouth swab, stool sample, and blood sample and have a cognitive assessment. There will be up to 8 study visits over 2 years.

What we're hoping for

We are studying the microbiome-gut-brain connections and impact on Alzheimer's Disease in healthy volunteers aged 50 and older living both in and out of nursing homes.
